I want to make a couple of observations on the two presidential candidates.
One, McCain's idea of doubling the unerned income tax credit is not a good idea for children. This could cause parents to fight for custody and really sling mud at each other, because neither parent will want to let go of the tax credit. It is currently around $3,000 (don't know exact dollar amount) and if this doubles imagine how kids will be used worse in custody battles. I feel McCain just changes from idea to idea without taking the whole picture into account. Don't get me wrong, to increase tax credit would benefit me personally because I'm a student and after graduation I don't anticipate making a huge salery my first year out, but I don't want to put children at risk of abuse for a bigger tax credit. $6,000 dollars/child can be pretty tempting to greedy people. Why hasn't the media brought this up?
Two, CNN and MSNBC are my two favorite networks or maybe I should say soap-operas. It's my opinion, that McCain needs to stop his discusting false attacks on Obama. He underestimates the intelligience of the American people. I have seen him and his running mate say one thing in an interview and then say the complete opposite in another interview. It's like McCain thinks were ignorant. He must not understand the the internet and technological advances in this Country. We can access and fact check everything he says. Someone please ask him to stop making a fool out of himself. I see his underlying message about Obama. He's betting on the uneducated folk. In the backdrop of his campaign, he is selling them folk a lie about Obama. "he's scary" or "he's a socialist" or "he's a terrorist". I don't think McCain even knows what he's doing. He's shooting in the dark and it's obvious to anyone who really pays attention. He appears to want the presidency so bad that he will use any tactic available and that "my friends" is a sell-out, not a Maverick.
Three, the media keeps saying you can't judge this election based on the turnout at their rally's. I don't buy that because most people that care enough to come to hear you speak, will vote. So, If Obama loses this election there needs to be a serious thourough investigation done on fraud in the voting process, because something just isn't right. Nobody likes bush most people I know went for Gore and I don't understand how he won that election. Maybe he did, but if the Republicans win against popular vote for the third time in a row then common sense says somethings wrong.
Lastly, I like Obama because he does care about Americans. We all know after Bush's slow reaction to Katrina that Bush doesn't care about Americans or atleast he doesn't care about the middle-class Americans. I was convinced of that after frustratingly watching his slow response to human beings in despair. We probally lost Americans because of that slow response and that makes him a murderer. What sealed the deal though is his aweful mothers comments when she was in the dome. She is discusting. She reminds me of Cindy McCain, a stiff nose-in-the air elitist. And people want her to be in the white house. SCARY! On the other hand, look at how warm michelle Obama is. It's obvious who is genuine and who isn't, I'm just saying.
