You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.
You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.
You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.
You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.
You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.
And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Too bad that some/many/most folks in USA do not embrace all 10.

You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift.
Yeah EOC proved that, amazing what some consider thrift.

You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.
If they didn't act so superior as above the Law, no action be needed.

You cannot help little men by tearing down big men.
this one have troubles with, big men as touch hogs or big men as good men, or good men at what ?

You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

What if wage payer suffers from gluttony or greed, or was past slave owner ?

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.
Poor in spirit, are destroyed if rich doesn't share fairly with charity.

You cannot establish sound security on borrowed money.

Yeah we know, we can't get a loan.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatred.

Who incited the class divison, as Gays are treated as things.

You cannot build character and courage by destroying men's initiative and independence.

Yes, Bushs Republican GOP bully tactics proved that.

And you cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they can and should do for themselves.

Yes lets hope in faith all accept money in stimiulus package for education and use it wisely.

I must agree with ya, SB, I live in a socialist country, and we have our rich, and help for the weak, a lot of Americans believe that helping the weak will, depleat the rich.

Wonderful....what a great post.

I so totally disagree with you! And this is amazing, because I usually agree with a lot of your point of views!
These "10 points" are basically promoting the old, over-used propaganda that, if someone is rich and powerful (or the "owner" and "employer"), it means that he/she is more worthy, works harder, and is the "provider" for the rest of the world!
While if someone is "poor" or is a "worker" he/she is necessarely less deserving, less intelligent, and less worthy!

This has not been true for over a century at least! It is not because the slaves worked LESS that they had no power! It is not because the owners had slaves that they were smarter or more courageous!

It is not because Madoff was "worthy" or "righteous" that he made billions off the small investors.
This kind of crooked philosophy has taken us to where we are today! Wealthy people are "trusted" and "admired" and "respected," no matter what they do. . .unless we are hit right in the face with their LACK of conscience. and people in need are belittled, under valued, and considered as a "burden" on society, even if they work two or three jobs to get by!

This makes me sick!. . .and I am what most would consider "upper income!"
