He immediately had an Epiphany and decided his kids will not be filmed anymore it's not good for them ?? ************ it was good for him for 4 years but now he wants revenge . He doesn't want Kate to have the show .

My opinion - The kids are filmed 35 days a year and usually they are filmed while on a "special day" where they visit or do an activity .
I think that Kate is doing a great job and she belongs at home with those kids. So filming is the perfect way to earn money and be with the kids.

Jon loves his new life with his 2 cars BMW and other new $50 thousand dollar car .

Now he decided he wants Kate and the kids to have less money by stopping TLC from filming . What a jerk It's so obvious he wants revenge . If he wins his point (which I don't believe he will ) he should give Kate the same amount she is receiving for her and the kids from TLC.

Kate is very good at disciplining the kids and explaining why they have to go to time out . This is something else that people enjoyed seeing . Kate's parenting skills are great .

I'm not for or against the show, as it is done in moderation, and considering the amount of children, can be a good source of income, especially if the majority is being put away for those who really own the show, the kids. With that said, being a good mother, doesn't always make you a good wife (that is 2 separate things). Only those in a relationship know the truth, we on the outside can't judge it. I will only say this on his behalf, those kids are dealing with a trauma right now, divorce, maybe during this time they do need a break to cope with the personal issues they are dealing with. I don't think money is more important then their well being at this time. I think it is a dishonor for those kids to let us witness the destruction of their family on camera. Give it a rest until the storm has passed, and they have time to weather the storm and adjust/cope.

I want to agree with you on all levels except about Jon. He is parading around with all kinds of women making sure he is on all the tabloids. Making it with his wife's , surgeon's daughter, all the hot spots and parties and winning about his kids! Really even wanting to by a home 2 states away! O.K. Great Father there. Those kids don't see that now but they will grow up, and the 2- 9year old twins are vulnerable because they are in school and we all know kids can be cruel! As for Kate I think she is doing a great job as a single parent and will probably continue to do so with or without the show. Jon is younger than Kate and you may be right no one knows what goes on behind closed doors with any couple but his actions as of late are certainly not that of a devoted father.The show was good for 4 years now because he is not part of it it isn't? The amount of time the cameras are there is not bad and they don't show any contention. Just a family having a great time and the children are always well behaved and enjoyable to watch.

This show is a retrieve from all the mess we are living in(aside from the media, who should be covering other important issues)and I hope it gets to proceed. Kate is a great mother and the kids should be ok because she keeps things under control. Yes, the other kids will give them a hard time, maybe, but I think they will perservere. They are beautiful, smart and have a strong mother!

Jon's a liar. I saw one of those women he denies having a relationship with on ET or something and she said he's such a liar they had a relationship and she has plenty of people who can verify it. I believe her.

I saw that too and yes he seems to lie so easily. His 15 minutes of fame won't last forever. The money he has won't be forever so is he really that stupid as not to think that he will be just an ordinary guy ...no more cameras no more fame ...no more interest for the people who are watching this at this time just to see the outcome ( I,m one of them )

I've never watched the show but again 35 days out of a year isn't bad at all..
If the show gets canceled or not he still has to pay child support; doesn't every absent parent? That's his responsibility; of course he should pay.
If their income has been based upon the show and he is no longer on the show but still receives his portion of the income that means he gets an income without doing any work.....

I agree that a mother (or father) doesn't make a wife (or husband). As far as the trauma of divorce giving Jon any kind of points; I certainly don't think so. If he had his children in mind at all he wouldn't have been all over the TV screen with different woman on his arm. Doing interviews talking down about their mother and having to discuss his affairs. That in and of itself says how he really feels about their emotional welfare.
I'm not buying into a break in a 35 day show for the well being of the children for one second. Children are smart and by no means are they unaware the other 330 days of the year that something isn't right with mommy and daddy. Sometimes divorice brings peace into an otherwise home chaos.

I am not sure about victims? lots of kids and wives could be victims of divorce , but as mentioned before divorce can bring peace where it was chaos.I think he is having a ME monent and is a total looser at this point.

Who cares what happens in the marriage, and who can judge, I think it interesting most of the women find him the bad guy, but men applaud Jon, because they see his wife as controlling and having put him down on the show. I choose not to judge either, the marriage is over and they have the right to move on. However, regardless of the parents, the kids need time to heal, and the majority of the money made should belong to them, not their parents. They were the show, they earned it, and now are like many kids whom parents divorce are facing a real life difficult situation and they need some respect. Forget mom and dad, it isn't about them anymore.

Kate's place is at home with those children. Has anyone considered how much day care would be for eight children. Ok, we pay 125.00 per week for one child , come on 1,000.000 at the most per week on a nurse's salary, come on get real. Jon will have to pay child support, but the expense of food, clothes, Health Insurance I could go on and on. I say Kate's place is at home with those children and keep on filming. I enjoyed the show. I watched it every season. What ever Jon think's he along with Kate started the show and open their door to the people and the people want it to stay open!

No more seeing the kids on TLC. Kate has a new show and I think it might work. Last week she was responding to views questions and it was interesting. Next Monday she will tell her story. I believe it might be interesting because we have to appreciate her qualities ...she is a fabulous organizer - her house was running smoothly and with 8 kids she has the qualifications and qualities to do it . I hope her new show works out well for her and she will be able to move on with her new life.
She was a co host on the view and she was good at it .
She has lots of info to share with parents and I hope she has lots of opportunities to do so . She's a good MOm with alot of patience and she raises her kids with tender love and care :):)

Just my personal opinion but I think Jon doesn't need anyone to set him up he does a good job by himself.
Up to now ....he won !! no more shows . He made it sound like it was awful but it was on 35 times a year and mostly on a special outing . I,m sure the kids are sad about that who wouldn't ? they had the chance to visits new places and have fun .
While immature Jon is having fun being a " want to be star " Kate I'm sure continues to raise her kids without adding drama to this sad situation for the kids. She is a patient , loving nurturing parent and I'm sure this won't change because of her divorce . Jon -a be- is having fun and tries to be on camera with his love affairs and clubbing .

I think they both have a few bank accounts and the lawyers will make sure no one takes advantage of the money set aside for the kids.

Now too bad if Jon can't write a book or be a guest host on a popular show and make his own money like Kate is doing but I'm sure he will try a few things to make his own money soon.

Must be hard for him to realize that Kate can do her own thing and be popular just by being herself .
